We had 37 of our now 54 (!) members attend the meeting.

Elizabeth-Anne gave a great presentation on Latvian mittens. She talked about the history, their importance in the Latvian culture and her journey with creating them herself. Here are some examples of the mittens she has knit and acquired over the last few decades.

We had lots of items exhibited during show and share, which you can see below. There's also a picture of the cover of the "Knit Like a Latvian" book that Elizabeth-Anne recommends if you are planning to try and make these yourself.

Cathie let us know that 3 large bags full of knitted knockers were stuffed at the retreat! There are still some skeins of Modern Cotton donated by Berroco yarns to knit more, so if you've been thinking about volunteering to knit some, let us know. We can get the yarn to you and the pattern is free online!

Terry won the 50/50 draw and Lynn Mc won the door prize.

Next meeting will be via Zoom on Dec 5th, watch your email for the link, hope to "see" you there!
